Life in Photos (Vol. 01)

Good day, folks! November is about to end in less than 6 days and I am totes excited with the approaching month. December is considered to be my favourite month no matter how busy it could be. Talk about last-minute Christmas shopping, kris kringle, birthday celebration of my mom, new-year celebration and the season where a lot of professors give so much work before the year ends. (Boo yeah, I know that feeling too!) Despite some sorts of bummer, December is still considered as the jolliest, most-awaited and (literally) the month which is celebrated with a bang (at least, for me.)

So before everything gets too late, I would like to introduce you my Life in Photos which consists of my photo updates daily – either posted in my IG account or not. But since this will be the very first Life in Photos update I will be having on this blog, I will only be sharing the same photos I posted either days/weeks/months ago from my Instagram account. I hope you can follow me there as well to get a few glimpse of the current updates I post if you’re more on to photo-sharing and short captions. I’ve been on that stage too, believe me! 🙂

                                                  

1st to 4th: Today’s haul… During that day, I went to SM Fairview to have a grocery shopping with my mom. But being impulsive I am, I got home 5 goodies with me which was never a part of the agenda! I was so surprised that my mom also didn’t have any doubts upon agreeing with me! She even bought the VMV Toner for me. The haul contained: 2 sunnies from Sunnies by Charlie, a pretty off white sling bag from SM Accessories, a Dunkin’ Donut Mason jar, and a VMV Hypoallergenic Toner for underarms. I’ve heard some good feedback about this item so my mom and I didn’t have any hesitations to try this product. Upon trying the item, its really good and keeps my underarm sweat free! So far, so good. 😉 // New clothes designed for comfort… Forget about those few items trending – overalls, cable knit sweatshirts and neoprene tops! Keep an eye with the clothes designed for oh so, comfort! One day, I realized that fashion and styling should not just be about following a trend. If you’re truly confident and if you pull-off a piece of plain tee and pants with so much poise and passion, it would never be less and understated. Fashyown pa din kung fashyown! 🙂 // TBS with my #sepanx #clingy friends… We had our team building seminar at Shercon Resort, Batangas few days before our final examinations approached. To summarize the whole experience, it was something great, fun, and worthwhile. We had a lot of activities and free time in which we used for chit-chatting with one another, pigging out on a weekend night, selfies and sleeping realizing that we need to review for the next day. Yes, we half enjoyed and we half did not rejoiced yet. // #OOTD… just because I realized I haven’t been doing this lately. Stripes top was from Izzue, Shorts from Forever 21 and Sandals from Late 2000.

                                                    

Blueberry Waffle with yogurt… was my breakfast slash the first thing I eat after reviewing for my final exams. I just had to buy one because hello, its waffle with yogurt(!!! How could someone dislike it? :c) and two, because its heart-shaped. Very cute and instagram-worthy! 🙂 Agree or not? // Colinas Clubhouse… I went here to celebrate my friend’s birthday together with two of my favourite girls slash high-school besties. It turned out as ultimate girl bonding with the ones I love. ❤ // #SOTD or Shoes of the day… just because it was kinda a mandatory since I found a spot I think was good(?) But of course, also to show how cute my floral shoes was!  😉 // Let’s have a cupcake session… with a friend whom I bumped when I was at the mall randomly looking for cheap thrills. Cupcake never failed to make me happy and a way to give someone happiness is by sharing a cupcake. From now on, you already know me. 🙂

                                                   

#Selfie… When you’re feeling pretty, always get your cellphones ready. Lots of selfies awaits the memory card. :p // #HOTD or Hair of the day… which I think was good to share enough since it was obviously hard to do! // Pig-out sesh during a Friday night… was one of the best “mababaw pero masaya”  bonding so far we’ve made by my cousin, lola and I. Imagine we watched Mockingjay while munching these cupcakes so we can refresh to our minds what happened last to catch up with the Catching Fire part 1 aired last Nov. 20, 2014 in the Philippines. // Scene from above… I was so stunned with the scene from above I captured! I wasn’t wrong when I believed it was picturesque even though its just a mall near our area. Oh please, its still Quezon City. How can you find such beautiful greenery objects in the metro!

Week Pick #1: Mango (via Zalora)

Hi everyone! Today’s post makes my first week pick blog entry. If you’re a previous reader of my blog, then you probably know already that this category is the newest segment I launched in my blog. Unfortunately, since I did not updated the said segment, it only contained 1 post which (I think) showed my love for cupcakes.

Before may I start, let me introduce you first what Week Pick is. Week Pick, is an updated list of what I recently like to try, buy and/or discover – may it be a food, gadget, fashion, blog, event, and/or anything that tickles my fancy.

For my first pick, let us have… MANGO! 🙂

If I am going to choose and opt something printed from Mango’s wide collection of dresses, I will definitely pick these two! White, with soft touches of blue and some hint of vibrant red makes me feel giddy every time I see it in a piece of clothing. It is mainly because of: 1.) its a color combination that works and flatters my skin tone, 2.) it gives a youthful vibe and relaxed image to the ones who wear it, and 3.) it reminds me of the much awaited ho-ho-holiday.

White dresses are so in lately and I really feel so happy about it! Aside from the “clean and crisp” look it offers, its also timeless, versatile, and always a stunner especially when paired with the right accessories. A good example of it is this v-shaped dress with just the right amount of shmexy. To add some pop and jazz, you can pair it with a bright red bag or a neutral coloured bag if you want to stick on basics.

Let’s take fashion to the next level! A must-try combo I have in mind right now is to pair something covered and something that flashes a little skin. But since I wanted to innovate a little (at least, on what I want to wore someday), I decided to include these two pieces of clothing above on my current pick this week. Floral Sweatshirt can be paired to shorts, skirts, pants and/or leggings so I consider it as one of the closet necessities. As for the long slit skirt, you can pair it with camis, cropped tops, one-piece suit and wide-neck tops either used for casual or formal occasion.

Honestly, I had a hard time selecting which ones I really really like. I hope you liked my choices! 🙂 How about you, what’s your pick from Mango’s collection? There are 523 sale items in Zalora to choose from! 🙂

Hello, earthlings!

Hello, earthlings! My name is Rhea and I’m seventeen years old. If you can see, this is the only post you can encounter on this blog as of the moment. Well, it is because this account is primarily ‘new’ (despite that this account existed year 2011!) in  a way that it’ll now be used as my platform when it comes to blogging. But if you’re wondering where I originally came from, then here’s my story:

2009 was the first year when I started blogging (rants, random ideas) in Tumblr as riackoii. It was 3 consecutive years when I posted various rants about life, daily quotes (typography), vlog and posted reblogs that contains photos primarily about fashion and minimalist home decorations.

However, I started fashion blogging late 2011. I pushed through my fashion blogging because of my overflowing interest when it comes to fashion. I guess, I gained them while I reblog different photos and while visiting my local style inspirations – Charlene Ajose, Camille Co and David Guison. All of these three bloggers mentioned all started from Tumblr, as far as I can remember.

2012 is considered to be my lucky year. I started meeting friends, fellow bloggers, followers and the year when I became more exposed to fashion. In fact, I was crowned as Kotex Luxe Fashionista in the same year. I have also joined giveaways in which I luckily won in some and this was also the year when I achieved having my first sponsors including international brands such as Romwe and Oasap.

But, 2013 ended it all. 2013 was the year when I finally decided to take a break from blogging. Aside from the fact that I’ve lost my interest in blogging, I also somehow forced myself to quit blogging since I believe that it is much better to be completely existing on the real world. To be able to experience more realities, to be friends offline, and to stop my blogger duties which includes bloggers’ dilemmas – taking photos here and there, documenting every move and share it to the world, being (kinda) impulsive upon buying your clothes, etc.

2 years maybe considered as small in numbers but not in the experiences that I’ve encountered. 2 years was enough break for me. As the year draws closer to 2015, be ready to witness me as I gain again my love and interest on this field. As 2015 approaches, I hope I’ll get back on the track and set fire once more. I am now starting to be ready… to be home.
